The project engages around 150 young people from Bielsko-Biała region (high school and college students) in content creation. Together, with support of mentors, we publish magazine every six months (available also online: www.issuu.com/redakcjaBB) as well as write articles, take photos, make films and graphics we publish on the project’s website: www.redakcjaBB.pl The young people participate in all decision-making processes througout the project.
As part of the project, we organise workshops, meetings, individual mentoring sessions, with support of 10 professional mentors. Young people are supported personally and professionaly. They also have a full-time free of charge access to the fully equipped office to prepare content, take part in meetings and workshops or work on their own projects and assessments.
The redakcjaBB project was set up by Maja Dębowska in 2014 thanks to the funding from Youth in Action Programme, inspired by Live Magazine in London. In 2014-2016 the project was delivered as part of the Citizens for Democracy Programme, funded by EOG. Currently it is being managed by Anna Cieśla thanks to the FIO Programme, funded by the Polish Ministry of Family, Work and Social Policy.
The project is formally delivered by Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Bielska-Białej i Podbeskidzia. Let’s Do It provides strategic and financial support.
